Hallo!

"Hallo" means "hello" in German. Welcome to my blog! I am a freshman at The University of Oklahoma majoring in History with a minor in German. I will definitely be throwing around German words here and there! My whole goal with this is to share my knowledge and stories of my experiences with you all. I will share a range of stories, from visiting Pearl Harbor for the first time to the new USS Arizona submarine. I have so much I can't wait to share. This blog is about so much more than just stories. It's about being able to raise your hand in class the next time your teacher asks you when Pearl Harbor was, it's about being able to pass your knowledge on to others so it's never forgotten, honoring those we have lost, and so much more. I want you to be able to walk away from my blog having learned something. Perhaps a new fact, a cool story you can share with your friends, or even how you can help better the lives of the survivors. This blog is for everyone. I have so many things to share on here but we are never done learning, and I am always up for it. I love hearing from veteran's and their families about anything they're willing to share with me. So feel free to reach out to me through here or any of my social medias (all are brooke_schocke).
